Kyrenia

Nicosia

Famagusta

Musical festivals

International Spring Concerts – These concerts are organized by the friends of music association of Northern Cyprus and are very popular among classical music lovers, they take place during April and May every year held in the historical setting of Bellapais Abbey.

Guzelyurt Orange Festival – This is organized by the Guzelyurt Municipality and has been held since 1977. It takes place during June and July. During the festival week various concerts, competitions and art events are performed and as the name suggests this festival is the best opportunity to taste the world famous North Cyprus oranges.

International Bellapais Music Festival – This festival brings together world famous musicians and performers each year, this takes place between May and June.

Famagusta International Festival – This in the past has hosted groups such as Aswad, Los Paraguayos and the Berlin Ensemble deservedly claims to be the best festival in the Mediterranean, this is held between June and July.

North Cyprus International Music Festival – This takes place between September and October and during this festival the chamber music, symphonic rock, choir, flamingo, tango and recitals are performed in settings such as Bellapais Monastery, Salamis Amphitheatre and Kyrenia Castle.
 
Walking and Hiking
The terrain of the TRNC lends itself to interesting mountain and forest walks. Many tours and organizations arrange professional mountain and forest walks.
 

Water Sports

Extreme sports are available from many beaches along the coast; these include jet skiing, windsurfing, par ascending and water skiing.
Scuba Diving
There are over 20 or so dive sites with an abundance of fish coral and marine life to be explored. There are also a number of wrecks the oldest dating back 2.300 years. The diving season lasts right through from April to December. A number of well established diving centers in the Kyrenia area offer international diving courses such as PADI, CMAS, BSAC and SSI. Yachting and Boat Tours

There are a variety of boats and yachts offering daily tours from the harbour, this really is a magical experience.
 

Sea Turtle Watching

Take a look at the loggerhead and Green turtles as they lay their eggs on a number of beaches across Northern Cyprus. For more information on the turtles click here

Art
Visit a number of art galleries in Kyrenia and Nicosia and keep an eye out for local exhibitions.
 

Paragliding

A new exiting activity on the Island is paragliding, take a leap of the Kyrenia mountain range and experience the thrill of gliding through the air.

 

Horse Riding

Enjoy horse riding in this fantastic setting, lessons are available form a number of stables in Kyrenia and Famagusta.

 

Go carting

For those who like speed the tracks in Lefkosa are for you! The world standard circuit has a five track layout and is 1200 meters long.
 

Golf

The well awaited new 18-hole golf course is due to open this year and is situated in Esentepe
 

Nightlife

For those who enjoy the excitement and glamour of the night life North Cyprus has a lot to offer, You can wind down at one of the many friendly bars or dance the night away at one of the open air night clubs, or if you are feeling lucky you could always try out one of the many casinos the island has to offer, whatever your preference there is something for everyone.
 

Cuisine of Northern Cyprus

Prices for food and drinks in Northern Cyprus are very reasonable and there is a great choice of restaurants, there are a number of local restaurants serving delicious local dishes, the traditional meze which consists of a variety of hot and cold appetizers, salads meats, vegetables and fish dishes is a very special attraction while other typical dishes include shish kebab, molehiya, yalanca dolma, sheftali kebab, kolakas and bumbar. The famous cheese hellim is another delicacy not to be missed. As well as traditional foods you can find Italian, Chinese, French and Indian restaurants all serving delicious meals, there is something for every one.To that end we have comprised a list of restaurants to help you in your culinary quest.
